RWACu 500 Pounds of Copper in a Steel Drum RWACu is a real world asset inspired token anchored to a simple physical reference: 500 pounds of copper stored in a steel drum = 1 unit. The project was not designed in theory. It comes from over 20 years of working with copper in manufacturing & industrial supply chains. Copper is a material I buy, sell, machine, recycle, & store regularly. RWACu exists because I have direct access to the asset & long experience managing it. The reserve begins with one drum containing 500 pounds of copper. The weight was chosen for a practical reason: the scale & overhead crane used to handle the material are rated for 500 pounds. Instead of ignoring real world constraints, the project adopts them as its standard unit. The copper is stored in a steel drum because it provides security, durability, & practical inventory control. Steel drums are widely used in industrial environments because they allow materials to be stored, sealed, counted, & transported efficiently. In this project, the drum functions as a clear, containerized unit of copper. RWACu begins with one drum, but the system allows for expansion. Up to 101 drums may exist, each containing 500 pounds of copper. Additional drums will only be added if the project requires them. The goal of RWACu is not to create a synthetic commodity or a financial derivative. It is an experiment exploring how blockchain systems can connect to real industrial materials & real operational constraints. Copper is one of the most important metals in modern civilization. Electrical systems, robotics, renewable energy, & digital infrastructure all depend on it. RWACu acknowledges that the digital economy ultimately runs on physical materials.
