MatterChain is a Layer-1 blockchain purpose-built for verifiable, privacy-preserving computation in the agentic economy. Developed by OpenMatter Network, Inc. with token issuance through Matter Foundation DAO LLC, the network enables enterprises and autonomous AI agents to process sensitive workloads without exposing underlying data. The architecture combines multi-party computation (MPC), zero-knowledge proofs, and post-quantum cryptography to ensure plaintext data remains encrypted during processing while mathematically verifying execution correctness. The native utility token, MTR, anchors the economic model: users spend MTR to pay for network deployment, application hosting, and secure collaboration services. Resource Providers supply decentralized computation resources and Validators secure consensus via a Nominated Proof-of-Stake (NPoS) mechanism, with both cohorts staking MTR and earning fees directly from network usage. A fixed ten percent of all network transaction fees is permanently removed from the circulating supply via a hardcoded protocol-layer fee mechanism each epoch.
