Anyone who creates a market puts in a fixed USDW seed; that amount is the most the market maker can lose, even if opinion swings hard one way. Users fund the app by wrapping USDC into USDW, trade in USDW, and can unwrap back to USDC when they leave. Shares and payouts sit in the user’s own wallet. The product is in a public mainnet beta.
