Augur is a decentralized protocol for prediction markets and oracle resolution, originally launched on the Ethereum network. Prediction markets allow users to trade on the outcome of future events, while oracles bring real-world results onchain so markets can settle correctly. Augur combines these by using economic incentives to determine outcomes without centralized authorities.
