Oliver Shaun Anthony Conroy was a 27-year-old Sunshine Coast man who tragically died following an alleged violent ambush, robbery, and carjacking by a group of seven teenagers in Kelvin Grove, Brisbane.The IncidentThe Setup: Police allege that the teenagers used a fake online profile to lure Conroy under the pretense of a date.The Attack: On July 24, Conroy drove to Victoria Park Road to meet the date when he was ambushed, severely beaten, and dragged out of his vehicle.The Theft: The attackers stole his BYD Shark 6 vehicle and left him with critical injuries in the middle of the street.His Passing: Neighbors found Conroy, and he was rushed to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries nearly two weeks later on August 6.
